I cannot believe that I almost have a 2 year old!! I feel so cliché saying it goes by so fast, but any mother will tell you that kids do grow up too fast! I am actually loving this age right now though. It is so fun to hang out with a tiny human all day, but is also has it’s challenges.
One thing I’ve learned is having the right tools for your toddler can make the days of fit-throwing and tantrums a bit easier. I’ve recently discovered The Baby Cubby, an online baby store, with a retail location in Utah. I love The Baby Cubby because they have basically done all the work for you by choosing the best and safest gear for your child. This is something that first time moms will definitely appreciate because it can be so overwhelming jumping into the mom game and not knowing where to start! Aaand they price match – even Amazon! The Baby Cubby’s blog and social media is also a great resource for parents to engage and get advice.
Obviously I could write a list of 100 recommended items for your toddler, but today I’m sharing a few toddler must-haves from The Baby Cubby that have made this stage a little easier for me…
I’ve been in love with rompers since Nikson was born. As he’s gotten older, I’ve found it harder to find rompers that are big enough for him, but The Baby Cubby has Rags to Raches romper that go up to 5/6T. These rompers are great to throw in your diaper bag as a “back up” outfit. Toddlers are messy and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been so happy for that romper in my bag to change him into after an accident, or he’s found a pile of mud to play in.
2. Bath Toys
We bathe Nikson nightly because a) he plays in dirt most days, and b) it kills time…haha! I’ve even been known to put him in the bath mid-day on a rainy day or when I’m out of energy. The key to a successful bath is great bath toys. I got the Boon Pipes from The Baby Cubby and they have been such a hit! I want to get the Boon Cogs as well! We also have this cup, and it’s the perfect thing to keep in the tub and he uses it to pour water into the pipes.
Toddlers go through A LOT of snacks! And boy can they be picky about their snacks too, which means you need lots of options. Rather than using dozens of plastic baggies a week, just get this food storage tower. I am always having people ask me where I got this, and it really is a must-have for any age.
These are super nice to have if you ever take your child to a friend or babysitters house. They are pretty spacious, and you can definitely fit a lot of snacks and of course the essentials in there. Kids also love having a backpack that is just for them!
I hope you and your toddler love these items as much as me and mine do. Be sure to check out The Baby Cubby for the best of everything baby!
